The attached photo shows the bookmarks for the recipes the children have asked (or at the very least - permitted) me to try next. I have used a pressure cooker for decades but only made stew, spaghetti bol and soups in it.

It's my bible. I've included pics of chicken with leeks and little gem, chicken noodle soup (I used the beef Pho recipe and used her chicken variation) and lastly, belly pork and kimchi soup.

If you pressure cook you need this book. The most important thing about this book is that finally I have managed to get my (incredibly fussy) teenage children to try different food…This was bought for me as a Christmas present. This is a really good introduction to pressure cooking - you can see there’s a tension between making this a kind of introductory “text book” and giving people useful and interesting recipes to follow - i think the author manages this balance very well and manages to insert a lot of useful background and context without it ever feeling too dense. Anyone who can write a recipe that turns out the perfect boiled egg is a winner in my books!

And importantly, Catherine’s recipes work. I’ve only had my pressure cooker for 2 days and already I have learnt so much. I love this book. Many of the recipes have variations so you can use the techniques to cook pretty much anything you like.
