Having said that, now I power the thermostat so I guess swings and roundabouts. Stat body has some weight which just backs up the quality feel and touch.

I'm only controlling heating as I have a combi-boiler and therefore no hot water tank, so I can't comment on the hot-water side of things. it's that simple! One small issue that i had was one of the heatlinks got itself stuck in disconnected mode, nest advise to hold for 20 seconds to perform a reset but i found it was more like 25 seconds. Nest connected as follows:PowerLive and Neutral - L & N to respective terminalsBridge Live to common for heat (terminal 2) and hot water (terminal 5) using small additional cable loopsHeatingCall for heat (Normally open) to terminal 3Terminal 1 (Satisfied - normally closed) NOT REQUIRED as thermostat decides when to turn offHot WaterCall for heat (Normally open) to terminal 6Terminal 4 (Satisfied - normally closed) REQUIRED as thermostat in tank decides when to turn offWiring mapping was as follows:Honeywell (Left to right) / Nest8 / 5 (Hot Water - Common)7 / 4 (Hot Water)6 / 6 (Hot Water)5 / 2 (Heating - Common)4 (not connected)/ 1 not connected (Heating)3 / 3 (Heating)N / NL / LL to 5 to 8 / L to 2 to 5Works great as usual!

3. Get the stand! If you have a reasonably regular routine like our house this seems to work quite well - although we do have an issue where is switches on way ahead of time in the morning to get the house "up to temperature" by the switch on time which results in the house getting too hot in the middle of the night - apparently there are adjustments that can be made to fix this, but at the moment I've resorted to switching it off manually at bedtime! The media could not be loaded.

I got my nest heating controls today first impressions looks ok but a few things bothered me first of all I was lucky that my old salus IT500 setup had the exact same wiring so it was pretty easy to do the wiring or so you would think! 1. That lasted about 5 years although I cant complain too much 5 years is pretty good.
