A bit of a faff to set up and it took me two or three attempts to set up, but once done I've just left it in the socket switched on. In all, the wifi extender is finally now doing all the things I expected it should do, way back in April when I first took it out of the box and set it up. Failed on the first attempt but worked on the second. It meant that we were getting no connection or very slow at the back of the house and upstairs.

Admittedly, I haven't checked what it would be in the loft without the TP-Link on, but it looks like the TP-Link does its job! Neat looking device and sits nicely in a plug socket, and still with enough room in a double wall socket to plug something in to the side of this. I tried the extender in our dining room at the lowest range as it works well for our house.

My whole house has top signal everywhere but not only that I can go right to the bottom of our garden which is very long and get a full signal too! I've returned this and ordered TP-Link AX1800 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 which in theory is lower in speed but resulted in much better range.

In seconds you will be up and running creating a Mesh network with the same SSID as your main Wireless Router. We switched from Virgin Media to Lila Connect but had MASSIVE connection issues due to the location of the router at the front of the house.

Impossible to update the firmware on the extender, by following the instructions in the manual2. I purchased this TP-Link wi-fi extender to improve signal from a Huawei CPE Pro 2 5G wireless router aimed at an outside window (pictured), to an XGIMI Halo projector two rooms away (pictured), as well as other devices remote from the room where the router is situated. We very nearly cancelled Lila Connect, but they recommended this exact range extender and everything works as it should do now.

The Halo projector would not reliably handshake with the extender, even though other devices could. It's now the 4th day and there was no drop in the connection so far. Setting this up was quite straightforward.
