Make sure you have the setting on drain not filter. Thank god the one we needed was in there.

If you have two outlet holes, make sure you plug one. So good luck! Was very happy to find this product for our Bestway pool, it fit and worked okay with our 800g/h sand filter/pump. Also make sure you fill the entire hose with water before you try and vacuum, if not air will get into system and you will have no suction, or little at best.
