There were so many relatable things. I loved the cover and the title as well. I was in the rooms/spaces feeling all the feels.

Great plot, great pacing, great characters! The underlying stress of underperforming and /or living up to the expectations of the society particularly the close relatives and friends was portrayed very well. Your book is an inspiration to black women in the late 20s early 30th.

The social aspect in relation to the relatives, friends and their interaction with each other was described very well. Loved reading the book.

. Will definitely be looking out for more work from the author in the future. The book certainly can be made into a fun film. I laughed at her antics, I felt sad for her when she showed no self-love or self-confidence and at a times got annoyed with her when she made mistakes and hurt her friends.

It is funny and enjoyable. I could hear the characters speaking in ways I never have before when reading.

It was relationships both family and romantic - entwined brilliantly and hilariously at times. As you all know, I’m not a romance reader but this was just so much more than that. At the beginning of this book Lizzie Damilola Blackburn explains meaning of the word 'Huzband: A non existent man in a non existent marriage whose whereabouts is often asked, usually by Nigerian Mums and Aunties of single British-Nigerian Women'I read this and immediately knew that I am going to like this book, as this sounds exactly the definition what we have in Indian family and social circle! Such vivid and interesting characters, lending some great moments to the plot.

’~I’ve had this one on my kindle since it was published - far too bloody long. I really enjoyed reading the book as characters and situations are very very true to life.
