Although the book may be a bit difficult to get into at first, and the fact it's set in America with some American words used which may need to be explained to young children, the book is a surprisingly good read. I like the simple drawings that show off Judy's mood as well as what's happening with the characters well.

She starts the day in a bad mood, a very bad mood, but when her teacher sets her and her class a new project she soon learns how to be in a different mood. There is also suggestions on making your own Me collage, the project Judy and her classmates were assigned which is a great extra that many kids will enjoy.

Everyone has moods and Judy expresses them using words like 'Roar! I'd never read a Judy Moody book before and I think it's because it was new to me that I wasn't sure what to expect, but as the story progresses I did get into it and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I didn't really like Judy that much to begin with and it took me quite a few pages to really get into this story although reading it is easy and quick. Almost every double page has an illustration and the text is quite large making this an easy read for kids.

This reprint of the first in the series comes with some fun stickers in the front to put you in a Judy Moody mood. Although Judy seems like a moody girl at first, she's a character that many kids can relate to and enjoy reading about. ' if it's a good mood day. The illustrations are all in black, white or grey.

I don't want to say what happens in the story but it does have a good message and ending. NOTE my photos are a bit blurry and out of focus, this is a fault of my camera (which I'm getting replaced) and not the actually book's images which are clear. There are extras in this book with several colourful stickers in the front of this paperback.
