The Portra is so beautiful and just each image feels so special, magical, out of this world. ” More exposure must be given after 3 seconds, which is the case with almost all negative films.

I first heard about it as Steve McCurry shot some way back when and I was intrigued - it makes photos look a bit more realistic than the garish colours that the common Kodak Gold can give, or similarly has less of the blueish tones from Fuji. Found it cheaper than buying individual rolls, at least in Vancouver.

Has five rolls of Kodak Portra 400 film (36 exposures). I hope the pics in my review help with understanding how to use this bad boy. Great for shooting anything. The grain is fine and appropriate.

:( I bought a set of 2 last time and I liked it very much this time I got 5 pieces. Excellent. Whenever possible and appropriate it's my first choice for film - beautiful skin tones, a pastel like subtlety in the right light that makes film look like film.
