I noticed I had to switch to 16:9 on the TV (even though widescreen was set on the wii) as it did not auto switchso I changed the "aspect" on my tv remote and it switched fine. after disconnected everything it was proven that its the Wii to HDMI converter. zoom in the pictures to see the first one received the second image and third is the replacement. but at least now I have one thats ok

Definitely a good adapter to be able to continue using this console with TVs or monitors without scart or RCA. I had no problem with the video signal coming out at the same original quality. the quality is identical 2 the first one that had great sound improvement also I purchased but without the wave lines going up the screen. Very easy to use and a big improvement in picture quality compared to the original SAT cable.
