I work with multiple windows and super wide screen is my thing. USB-C is just a pleasure. The hdmi has noticeable delays, tiny tiny but noticeable.

At home we have two macbooks, a MacBook Air with M1 and a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro. Having two monitors side by side is good but having no split in the middle and look directly on it and not slightly too either side is so so much more comfortable. so I need to move and resize them every so often to custom size for certain tasks so that is the reason it would not suits me. I fell more relaxed now and working with ease.
On USB-C the response is immediate and support smooth to mouse and windows movement, real difference when compared with HDMI. Also the app has options to split the monitor on many sections but this I personally don't like as it is too aggressive and once you enable some splits you will not be able to resize the window in that section, instead it will always adjust it to that section size only.
