I highly recommend it! Imported disc is certainly different, worth every penny for an optimal experience.

This re-released edition is black and not the blue of the original - see photo. I find that side two of Hot Fuss isn't *quite* as strong, but boasting the piercing guitar shrill of 'Andy You're A Star', 'On Top' and 'Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll' (infinitely better than 'Change Your Mind', found on US versions of the album) makes it pretty special, all the same.

Hot Fuss is a behemoth of power indie tracks, with Flowers' vocals throughout just blazing. The record itself looks great, and feels neat to hold - The inside sleeve is a black collage of the four band members, and it also comes with a download card so you can own the album digitally, too. The disc was fine and it's a brilliant album so it's no real issue but the back of the case was cracked. It's too perfect.

'Smile Like You Mean It' and 'Somebody Told Me' further what's already a pretty stellar side one, before the album's best moment - 'All These Things That I've Done - just smashes all expectations. Whilst I confess I prefer the band's later work (Imploding the Mirage is without doubt, my favourite album of recent music memory), Hot Fuss is an *insanely* phenomenal body of work, showcasing how a band from Las Vegas, America, could so seamlessly tap into the British indie consciousness, and become latter-day rock gods. The album played from start-to-finish just fine, I had no problems with jumps, skips or crackle. Still perfectly listenable, though, and the strength of the tracks I love is ineffable.
