After reading the reviews we decided to give it a go and it's great. There also a small extension tube. Great extension curtain pole - would definitely recommend- comes in numbered packaging so easy to assemble- need a strong person to put up as tension is so strong.

This balcony door has an 87" width x 81" drop, and I have no qualms at all regarding this tension rod falling down. I needed some extra hanging space, but didn't want to drill into walls.

(The spring is loaded against the adjustable notched area which helps to make it strong and sturdy). I purchased this tension rod to hang curtains in front of my wardrobe and it did the job wonderfully. I am so chuffed To hang curtains in a recessed window bay perfect

The pole is a good strong thickness and an extra support is provided for the middle along with instructions. Of course you can’t pull hard on it or it will come down, but it holds well when moving the curtain left and right.

Assembly - it has 2 main tubes that are telescopic in nature, using a push button and holes in the larger tube to select your length. We couldn't use anything else as there's wiring behind the wall and we couldn't drill. There is absolutely no sign of the rod bending either. I have 4 curtains on it, and its 4 feet wide where I have the bifold doors so needed to use the supplied bracket.

Very impressed with the results! For additional security, I have mine resting on the picture rail at either end, but I honestly don't think that's necessary.
