All sectors are in perfect condition. After approx. The data throughput can also be seen, given the possibilities of the network, the Fritzbox and the DS220j and of course the clients. Buy once, buy right.

For the tests I used HDDTest (12h between formatting and testing). The hard drives notice the errors and map the bad sectors to backup sectors. Like the IronWolf Pro line, the IronWolf line uses CRM technology (better in my opinion than SMR). Had long considered what records it should eventually be for my Sonology DS220j.

The two run in the Raid 1 group and that pretty quiet, I think. Zero problems. The half-hour extension of production time is therefore hardly a significant thing. Important: It's CMR, there are other cheaper drives that are SMR (which are slower than the CMR).

Since after about 200 hours of operation, the back-up data read back showed about 3 to 5 bad files per TB, Seagate replaced them for 4 Ironwolf models for me. With continuous access, drive 1 >> 38° and drive 2 >> 40° This is not bad, considering the original fan is installed in the DS220j and it runs in the low power state level.

Each HDD individually welded into ESD bags, wrapped in a small solid cardboard box with foam and both together in a suitably large outer carton. Best regards to Amazon Detlev I installed the disk, performed low-level formatting and sector-by-sector testing: perfect result! You might be thinking of going down the pre-owned route.
