5 star rating from me. Ordered the 28mm version and it appears that the diameter is just shy of this at roughly 27. Always handy to have a tool like this - even if I’ll hardly use it. Slight issue in that the tag I wanted to inset is smaller than I thought so had to buy the next size down.

5mm. So I’m sure it’ll work well with softwood as it does with hardwood. A lot better than some cheaper bits on the market.

Sharp, easily fits a pillar drill, or standard drill/driver. Other reviews mentioned the bit wasn’t that good I roughed out a full oak guitar body with no problem , it cut through timber like a hot knife through butter Used it to create a small hole for a tag to be inset into a solid oak frame, as you can see dealt with the solid oak nicely!

Does exactly what it should. great bit, used on softwood sleepers, clean cuts most of the time, used on some slightly damp sleepers, cut wasnt as clean but still good.
