About this deal

Paperback | 416 pages130 x 197 x 39 | 292g

It's not that she hasn't tried to grow up, it's just that so far, the only commitment she's held down is Friday drinks at the village pub. An unspeakable tragedy turns Beth's life upside down, and she finds herself guardian to her teenage niece and toddler nephew, catapulted into an unfamiliar world of bedtime stories, parents' evenings and cuddly elephants. 'STEPPING UP is a heart-blasting triumph of a novel - wise, witty and wonderfully human. Walking away would hurt Wren more than she can imagine. '***** 'Funny, heartbreaking and totally relatable, it makes you feel all the feels! .

Wren was your girl next door and thrown into a turmoil when her fiancé admits he loves someone else. Such a powerful, empathetic heartwarming/heartbreaking story. Paige Toon is one of my favourite authors and one of the authors I first ever fell in love with, therefore, when this invite dropped into my inbox, I didn’t need to read the description to know I needed to get my hands on a copy of this book!

Ladyd

She travels to Indiana, where her father and step-family live. Paige quickly ramps up the emotional feel of this book as Wren breaks up with the man she expected to marry at the start of the book (this is mentioned in the above synopsis). Instead, I'll just say this. A packet of tissues WILL be required during this book, it had me tearful in a few places as I’ve come to expect from Paige’s books she is a complete legend at plot twists and she makes me fall in love with the couple every single time!

Amazon Customer

She has a new fan in me. . Despite the tears, this was a heartwarming story with heart and soul that’s beautifully written. This leads Wren to head out from the UK to a small town in Indiana, US where her dad lives with his second wife.

Liz

When Wren’s engagement suddenly ends it seems like the perfect opportunity to escape to Indiana in order to bond with her father and his new family on their farm. Review:Thank you to Anne at Radom Things Tours for my place on the book tour!

Ali's Adventures

* But Anders has a secret. My heart really did go out to Wren at times, I could feel her sadness and it really did get to me! I just prefer blood, gore and serial killers!
