The straps are strong - just make sure you tighten these as they will flap about. when travelling back from the lakes with what can only be describe as monsoon conditions it didn't move at all and everything inside was bone dry and as we left it, when travelling at speeds there is no noise at all from wind drag like some roof bars which whistle. When travelling up to the lakes in dry conditions it didn't move an inch. I purposefully positioned the zips in a hard to reach area and covered then with straps.

So we bought one of these as an alternative to a roof box and roof bars for our annual camping trip. I would also recommend that you have a waterproof hold-all or backpacks to load it with. It arrived in a little carry bag so when you are not using it just put it away.

Not sure that I’d be comfortable strapping this to a car roof, but to facilitate luggage on the back of a pickup truck, this was perfect. This was a lifesaver.

Luckily this was on the way home, but I don’t think my clothes would have been too bad if it were on the way there. Very spacious. I can not rate this bag enough and looking forward to using it on our next adventure. Love the little fold away bag.
