Fitment can be a bit awkward, I don't think it can be any easier, but it can be fiddly . I've had all sorts of cats large, small and kittens, I had no problems with any of them.

I have two of these meshes and they've been great. Really easy to fit and don't worry if you have odd sized windows, we brought two protectors, the kitchen window fits perfectly, our lounge one (in the photo) is a shorter window so we just cut the protector to size, no issues at all, still works great.

Rectified with some extra Velcro pads on the blinds but if I had my time again I would have measured window and paid the extra. :) We were really worried about her getting out on the window ledge (as she's so inquisitive) and falling.

It only just fits the window and there's a bit of a gap at the bottom where it could be a bit longer, but overall its good as it let's my 2 indoor cats enjoy some fresh air as they enjoy sitting on the window sill. I have a 7kg cat and I didn't have huge expectations that she wouldn't break it but I was surprised pleasently!
