Works very well and illuminates the room at night as well. Well it the perfect amount of light you can see everything but not bright enough to keep people awake.

As a nightlight, not bright enough. It has given me real piece of mind from constantly worrying about the temp of the room and really happy with the purchase… so far. Temperature appears to be accurate enough.
