It did a great job. 1g for 1 L of liquid, but I will suggest use around 2g instead of just 1g. It is okay to put it more than it needed to solidify the liquid, since it is quite tasteless and not a huge difference to the texture when you put a little bit too much. Do we need to have a box this big for one item without any packaging?

I have never used pectin before but have read some of the difficulties people have experienced - some brands of pectin work, others do not. Given two teaspoons sorted about 50 bottles of sauce, I now have enough left to thicken sauces forevermore. Oily liquid will not solidify using agar agar. I calculate my mix, measured out the pectin power, got some more strawberries made up a new batch of jam using the pectin added all the jam I previously made bought it all to setting point test it let it sit for 5 mins got my new jars out of oven that was heated put the hot lids on, sat them on side to get cold put them in fridge.

This product is a very fine agar agar powder, very easy to use. I made strawberries and come frozen berries I had left, i read somewhere that you could use them.
