About this deal
Finish: Light and dry caramel finish. Nose / Aroma: Baking spices on the nose with warm aromas of baked apple. As soon as the family were able to afford the correct paperwork this was done with the distillery experiencing fantastic growth from its tiny beginnings throughout the mid 19th century. I reckon it would've remained intact had it dropped six feet. Thank you and cheers! Flavor: Rich caramel character with hints of red apple and clove with a whisper of nuttiness. It is a smooth, beautifully structured, and well-paced Speyside malt with a rich texture and a balance of sweet fruit, dark chocolate, toffee, and spice. Cardhu Gold Reserve is a great choice as a sweeter aperitif. This time, it’s the distillery manager Gordon who has picked his favourite combination of casks to create the most moreish of whiskies.

The taste is slightly flatter than that of the 12. Vanilla is also included. Here, too, there is a similarity to the 12.

CARDHU “Special Cask Reserve”: Here we have a whisky with no age statement. The taste of this drop is also convincing. But don't misunderstand.

Conclusion: All 4 whiskies are very similar. In the finish, too, it maintains the aromas for a while. This releases additional aromas that the liquid can absorb.

whisky is good no doubt but the amazon service is fantastic. The packaging shows a barrel number or batch number.

We'll find out if this is true below. This means that here, too, this typical freshness blows with delicate hints of vanilla and some caramel, but not exaggerated. You can smell that the two are related.

(You don't have to read everything, just scroll down to the taste notes) Preface: There is no scientific review here. In any case, it should be stated that this whisky is something special and that special barrels have been deliberately selected for this bottling.

The distillery: The Cardow region is located in the picturesque Speyside region. Maturation will therefore certainly be less than 10 years. They are both a good introduction to whisky for people who have not tried it before and for regular drinking(!
