As the temperature increases the outside of the plates also starts to get quite hot however the very end where you would hold so you can get a tighter close still remains cool. Love the fact that they are temperature control 140-235 degrees, easy to use & value for money. I have included photos of the results. It heats up very quickly with different heat settings, it easy to use and straightens the hair perfectly like a professional hair stylist.

10 Variable heat settings from 140 - 235 degrees and on/off switch. I used 200 degrees for the first time (photos attached) Was skeptical at first but worth the money and does the same job as expensive straighteners. I brought this for my daughter at Christmas she likes it a lot.
