After reading that it is ranked in top 30 fastests HDDs out of more than 1000 by Userbenchmark, decided to buy (£54, April 2020). Otherwise delighted with purchase and would buy again, simply hope this feedback gets to the shipping/packaging department to save any future frustrating and/or costly issues for future customers.

This is crazy how quickly they can move stuff around Europe. However the way on which it was shipped is quite frankly unacceptable.

These drives are great for archive storage (write once, read many) use cases, but if your files turn over with some regularity, stick with PMR drives. Sound is not too loud, maybe slightly louder than a typical HDD but it's nothing to stress about (it's not like you would be buying a mechanical drive in a silent build anyways). I seen notification that this was in Italy around 6pm and next day around 11am I had my hard drive at home. I have bought this brand first time and I can say it's looking to be good quality hard drive.

I also have some for work, which have several hundred GBs written to them a day with no issues so far. Please take a look at the comparison of my old and new HDDs, photo attached( Barracuda is Top, WD Blue 500gb is bottom) I am not too technical, but although the speed of this Barracuda is no match to an SSD, it is beating my old WD by far in reading speed.

HDD Drives are sensitive to mechanical shock! Inside a plastic bag (not even ESD safe) and inside a box, no package protection.
