9% silent recording behind your voice. For audio recordings it is recommended to use the free software Audacity and apply software filers. Please keep in mind, I am an amateur and can't speak to the more technical aspects of the mic. However you can always rotate the mic so the blue light is on the other side.

With this mic you will get a 99. I'm already intended to upgrade to the Rode Procaster with a Focusirite Scarlett audio interface and a Cloud Filter CL1 just for better gain control, and you should consider though the USB model is slightly more expensive, opt for the XLR version and get an audio interface. Recently purchased this microphone as an upgrade and I was doing my research heavily on which microphone to go for in terms of YouTube and pod-casting and this model came up frequently. 2) Weight - This is not at all a problem for me, but others might find the mic a bit heavy.
