Leave it in your lounge and when you have guests they browse it and then try and make funny fungi jokes. Please Roger Philips, if there is a reprint, please keep all the photos as big as possible, I do not mind paying extra as your book is just superb. The book is excellent, with fantastic clear photographs and informative text. but that's nothing to do with the book, only a day late.

Great book but i own the older version about printed in 1981 which is 30% bigger and the photos were much easier to see as they were bigger but this 2006 reprinted in smaller version A4 size. just humour them, its a bridge to get people interested :-) As an added bonus also has that great new book smell :-) (Is that just me that likes that? )Not sure why I pay for Prime as it didn't turn up on time.
I own both 1981 copy and 2006 copy just for this reason. so some of the photos got shrunken like the blewit photos it used to be 3/4 size vs 50% smaller.
Non the less still superb reference. .
