This one does the job just fine and the dark green colour means it doesn’t look too bad either. Don't specially need a secure lock, just something to stop my sister washing her car at mine!

Bought to deter nuisance children in our street. When our tap was originally installed at the front of our house the plumber built a wooden cover to hide it.

Our outside tap is at the front our house so we wanted a key lock. It's a good visual deterrent but if somebody is intent on getting to your tap it won't put up much of a fight.

It’s not a strong plastic so I am sure could easily be broken off but it serves it’s purpose and hopefully will deter any would be water pinchers as we now have a water meter fitted. My tap is "standard" size and this is sized just right with cut-outs which mean that though I have tap converter on end of tap (to attach hose to tap) lock still sits on tap and is lockable! Padlock (supplied) is tiny but just right for securing lock's ends together. The good thing is it comes with 3 keys.

However, if you need something more secure this will not withstand a determined attack with a hammer etc. Simple design and saves me having to constantly unscrew the tap head each time. Looks tidy and comes with three keys.

The neighbours are having builders in and they do not have an outside tap. I settled on the LockaTap, combined with a slightly modified (cut to accommodate the LockaTap) Greenkey Outdoor Tap Cover. For it to fit my tap I had to remove a bit of insulation at the back of the tap which I will replace.
