I know that Michael Ende is a renowned writer, I really tried to like that second half but couldn't. . Each chapter has beautiful illustrations, there are adorable endpapers and a sewn in fabric bookmark. "Neverending Story ah ha ha ah ha ha ah ha ha" (Limahl) :)

About the story, I'm rereading and it's as amazing as I remembered, really a must-see for those who like fantasy and/or loved watching the Afternoon Session movie. It felt like the writer had to meet a minimum page number requirement or something.
