My only slight criticism is that it's not very long, 295 pages The characters are rich and so real - they don't have that 2D feel of so many crime novels.

I will definitely read another. This was a very enjoyable read.
They behave like actual people, responding naturally and in interesting ways. The mystery aspect is also stellar, with hints of the supernatural in the Cathbad character. Absolutely stunning. This is the first Ruth Galloway novel, and the beginning of my obsession with Elly Griffiths' work.
