It seems this is a piece of kit to be bought either by people who know exactly what they're doing or who are willing to take a punt that it might be useful. I was sceptical about it's durability at first, but after using it for nearly a month, i can confirm that the bands are very durable. I bought this mainly for strength training. You can go for it.

Hard to know, because that depends on how many pull ups you can do unassisted now (starting from 0) and how much you weigh, but there is no chart given here to tell you. * This is a strong resistance band, essentially a big rubber band, aimed at either the higher end of strength training or, if used for pull-ups (chin-ups), people who need a lot of assistance in order to complete the exercise. * Is this the right pull-up band for you or should you choose another one in the range? That is not a crack/ tear btw . Great product overall thanks amazon I have struggled for some years with very poor flexibility in part as a result of a lot of cycling tightening up the muscles in the back of the legs and lower back. I have recently started trying to stretch this out again so that I can ride lower and flatter (and faster!
