And that's why it's successful not just as a timepiece, but as an icon too. The thing about watches is that they should either be really expensive and lavish - or just really cheap and reliable. It could be a bit brighter, but I've had no problems reading it. After researching, it turns out this is a design choice by Casio and it is deliberately recessed to avoid accidental pressing but in terms of user functionality I prefer the M5610 "Adjust" button.

The light is great when and the dial very legible when it is activated. So I bought this for work. Well, I have been using Casio G-Shocks for quite a lot of years. I did see one review regarding the top left button is indented and he had to take it back for a refund, I believe that's on purpose and is the design of the watch, it is difficult to press, but you can press it I can assure you, its designed that way so you don't accidentally press it I believe.

Difficult under a smart shirt sleeve. My previous daily watch was the G-Shock GW-M5610-1ER and I find this clearer to read in the majority of cases. I replaced the first one (another DW-5600) because the strap was destroyed and, at that time, replacing it was almost as expensive as a buying a new watch. I'm wearing it now.

I have many watches from citizen to Rolex. I have a Lorus 'Sport' analogue watch which has put up with 12 years of abuse and still works fine, but the glass was badly scratched and my eyesight isn't as good as it once was, so I decided to try this Casio as it seemed to offer everything I wanted.

This function was present in the previous model and is the only thing that makes me give it four stars and not five. . One other thing to note is that the "Adjust" button (top left button) is deeply recessed.
