The sounds are a big sell to me. It was really fun! Despite its small size, this little virtual pet game system is filled with fun! The chirps, beeps, and whistles that R2 makes are cute but don't sound quite like the R2-D2 from the movies.

This is such a cool unique gift. This system cannot be turned off without removing the batteries, but you can mute it at any time by holding down the first and third button (buttons A and C) at the same time, which is quite nice to prevent random unwanted beeping from R2.

Nintendo collaborated with Pikachu and Eevee, obviously Star wars, Pac-Man, and I'm sure there's like some Japanese one that I forgot. ! Also the picture is boring I took, but you can see it from an angle. The newer ones with color screens and cameras are intense to say the least with what you can do.

For the people that might be reading reviews about the tiny size, or if you should spend $20 on this thing, I got to clear this up the informative way! It came in undamaged packaging and got here before expected, so I'm very happy with the purchase.

If you like Star Wars and “retro” toys this thing is good for the collection. Ordered for a friend who is a huge Star Wars fan and collector and didn’t know this existed. The screen does NOT have its own backlight, meaning the screen itself does not light up, but as long as the screen is under enough light, the play experience can be enjoyable. Wonderful gift!
