The G305, however, is exemplary in respect of tracking smoothly. It can be very frustrating with war sims if you get behind an opponent; press the left button & find your aim has moved because the buttons cause your hand to slightly move the aiming point (not good at 400+mph when you have an opponent at your mercy & you miss the shot! Just not the hollow dome at the top. Similar products that I have used before the G305 - which include the wireless G403, the G900 and the G502 (which are all mouses that use the PWM3366 sensor) - have never suffered from spin-outs even once, though this might have just been my luck.

The great first impression (barring a difference in feeling that can be overcome with some tinkering with settings) from the G305, however, can be deceiving. Logitech's attention to detail is evident in the durability of the G305, ensuring it withstands the rigors of intense gaming.

The only reasons not to get the G305 would perhaps include the fact that it is a small mouse with a very small hump, and anybody with big hands and/or a grip that isn't well-suited to small mice (such as a palm grip) might feel cramped with the G305. got this to replace my g203 which i loved, it's great for smaller hands and comfortable if you use finger tip/ palm grip like i do.

Whether this is an issue is up to the individual user, but it is mostly meant to be used as a cursor moving device, not to double as a media controller. Further reducing the weight by another 12g, half of an AA battery.

This G305 is rock solid, but still *slightly* too tall with the cover on. So I have effectively have a G Pro for half the price, with the easy modification matching the weight too.

The wireless functionality with LIGHTSPEED technology provides a seamless and lag-free gaming experience, eliminating the constraints of traditional wired setups. On the G305, the only similar feature is limited to switching DPI levels. It’s got a simple design which doesn’t scream “gaming mouse” like Logitech’s other mouse like the g305.
