Anyone who loves coffe needs one of this ! Some people say you need to put a lot of coffe in it to make it work. I must confess to loving this espresso maker. This pot will not work on induction hobs.

However I found out this was too strong. I bought this 6 cup because I did not know which one to get. Couple of tips, if you use filtered water use water that’s been sat in your kettle rather than straight out of the fridge, at room temp the water won’t take so long to heat up. The only reason I gave 4 stars for 'ease of cleaning', is because you will need to take the pot apart (see photos) and rinse by hand, after every use.

I like large portion of strong coffee so the size is perfect to serve 2 people (Although it could otherwise serve 6). Nice flavour. Been on the Nespresso bandwagon for the last 11 years, and ever increasing capsule costs, and a lack of decent high end coffee machines have forced me to consider trying something else just to see whether the premium they charge is justified for the convenience. I opted for the 6 cup pot which will make 6 espresso sized cups or 2 standard cups.

Now I have added two heaps of coffee in, it does not go to the top of the filter , hower, it still pertulates and makes good coffee. The thick base keeps the coffee hot and fresh (my old fake one had a thin base, it cooled fast).

I've got a nespresso, but i wanted a real italian espresso, so i went for the Bialetti 6 cup. Second tip, don’t pack the coffee in, leave it loose.

I have owned, and used, several of these coffee pots over the years, and can tell you, hand on heart, this is the best one yet. Bravo! It's all down to the the quality of the materials used, and the way it has been constructed and finished. Patience is required as this Vessel should be kept on medium to low heat.
