I fell in love with the characters and the plots and when I finished reading I couldn't do anything other than take the second one to continue in this universe. For the Darlings that have experienced it, they know Pirates, Lost Boys and Fae Princes don't just exist in fairytales. In fact, note that DARLING means WANTED in Portuguese, which makes room for many interpretations during the reading of THE NEVER KING.

It’s the first in a trilogy of Peter Pan retellings where Hook was never the villain and Winnie Darling is very lucky to have 4 tall, tattooed, morally gray (probably nearer black) men. That didn't bother me because I knew it's a series, so each book should show me a few more of them.

That’s how great it was. 5 / 5🌶🌶🌶. I’ve never really been into the retelling kinda thing but this hit the mark for me and I think I might just need to start reading retellings more now. Loved it SO MUCH!
