UPDATE: I’ve found just one small annoying quirk about this toaster. The toaster work well but UPS delayed then box is broken.

If your toast isn’t quite browned enough and you press it back down it doesn’t stay down, it will keep popping back up again. Especially so in a household where everyone likes their toast 'done' slightly differently so the dial gets moved. ! Some reviewers say this toaster doesn’t toast all the way through and it’s still soft in the middle, well I like it that way because it’s part and parcel of a quick toaster, crisp on the outside and pillow soft in the center.

First of all, I applaud Russel Hobbs for making a toaster that fits a slice of bread because most manufactures choose to make the slots too small and I can’t get my head around that concept, it’s almost like they want to sabotage their own toasters so they can’t get them sold, or have them returned. and I'm rather partial to a toasted teacake! All in all it comes down to what is important to you and I think I might forgo the 'lift and look' for the wider slots if I had to choose.

This doesn't particularly matter to me though and neither does which side the crumb tray is. The only real difference to the model I last used is that it has the 'lift and look' feature which I think most people would find useful to check on their toast without restarting the timer.
