Reading Stewart Alexander's "An Extraordinary Journey" was like being the man in the well-known Flammarion Engraving, head poked through "the horizon where the earth and the heavens met" to encounter a strange and startling cosmos. Ectoplasm is not cold and slippery, recalling Bill Murray in "Ghostbusters" crying, "I've been slimed!

Seriously, if you are interested in this subject, I can highly recommend this book.

I felt I did the same by reading testimonials, among so many surpassing 150 years, of those witnessing the unimaginable at physical medium sittings. Yet, for those familiar with this phenomenon, physical proof of survival after so-called death is as natural as the heat of sunlight on a summer day. In a physical medium séance, these hosts, and the spirits they bring through, not infrequently make their footsteps heard, perform musical improv combining bells and drumming, spin objects in lightning-fast arabesques, cause things to appear and disappear, and make matter pass through matter.

As soon as I was told that Stewart Alexander was in the process of revising and updating his book ‘An extraordinary Journey’ (I have the original version), I knew I had to order it! The physical principles behind these manifestations involve vibrational frequency, the fundamental tenet that matter cannot be destroyed, and concepts in physics that admit of a reality in which death happens only to the body and matter, in "adjacent" realms, has its own tangibility there.
