About this deal
Black Bush
Ageing takes place in carefully selected oak barrels for at least three years, sometimes even 15 years or more - these can be used sherry, port, madeira, bourbon even rum casks, all contribute their flavours. A high proportion of copper pot distilled single malt whiskey matured in sherry casks creates a rich and smooth taste. It is complex and well flavoured, slightly sweet with clear malt notes that are not masked by smoke. Over 400 years later, whiskey is still being made in Bushmills, thanks to experience and craft passed down from generation to generation. It’s about creating, capturing and sharing awesome memories with friends and making the most of every moment.

Fortunately, he's been brought up well & not lacking in generosity. I was always a Scotch man until a visit years ago to NI where I was offered a Bushmills as soon as I walked into the Bar. In comparison, white label tastes a little thin - nice until you've tried the other variants. I do like certain Scottish malts but I was surprised that this Irish tipple had a really nice rich & nutty taste.

An interesting drama for its simplicity. I'm not a fan of peaty whiskies like Talisker. A touch of honey sweetness. The photo shows it all.

I'll start by saying that I'm not a massive whisky drinker. Very fast shipping ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Arrived in cardboard packaging, no damage.

Priced competitively. It amazes me every time I drink it because of its deep sweetness due to the scarcity of barrels. It has a smoothness and mellowness that allows for drinking neat. A present for my son.

The whiskey is in excellent condition I've been drinking Bushmills for a while and I can only recommend it is great. So he was happy to let me have a taste.

The malts are lovely, but black bush is, in my mind at least, uniquely satisfying. I'm not a fan of Jameson's strangely enough though. Although it is finished in exbourbon and Sherry barrels, this undeclared age makes it possible to appreciate the malt in the tridistillate easily, at a very affordable price. I cannot recommend this enough!
