No problem with the short legs from me, they are designed to keep the bag off the wet floor and the grab handle makes it easy enough to pick up without bending too far down, but you will need to loop your towel to stop it touching the ground. I wanted something suitable for travelling, and have managed to drag this around London by tube, train or bus with very little effort compared to my full cart bag. This has a tendency to drag the bag over the hinge and collapse the legs, so you need to give it a wiggle as you draw each club.
It doesn't flap around and is of much better build than others I've seen, although you won't be able to fold or collapse it. This is significantly sleeker and weighs almost nothing.
Perfect for me as a city dweller without the luxury of throwing a full bag into the car. Short irons in the back keeps them easier to organise. Fits my 11 club set fairly easily (5 rear, 3 each front compartment), and I'd suggest no more than 12 or 13. My only gripes so far are the lack of rain hood (I carry a hood from another bag and an elastic velcro strap just in case) and sometimes clubs will snag when pulling out of a full bag.
I've found this is worsened when I've got wet weather gear in the long pocket, so best to travel light + not overfill. All in all a great purchase and exactly what I needed - light enough to travel with but versatile enough to go 18. Unlike other pencil bags, this is relatively rigid and has its shape supported by what feels like carbon fibre rods sewn into the frame.
