Great quality cable with 450MB/s transfer speeds with my SSD attached to it using USB 3. Bought this SATA to USB adapter. Actually a great feature when swapping drives or for people who are not technical and happen to have a spare drive that still works from maybe a previous PC.

It is always better be safe than sorry. It actually is in permanent use and does not require any attention to do its wonderful work. Apparently you can get a case to use it that way, but I doubt I'll pay for that.

It's fine. It had a 128 Gb SSD disk in it. I always made restore points and hard drive image on 2 of my external hard drive, just in case such a thing happens.

This SSD made laptop start time go from about 5 minutes to 30 seconds. Almost a terabyte of data salvaged with this product. Works as expected on the USB3. If it isn't showing the drive may be bitlocked or a OS drive or something else, and you'll need to clear using Diskpart or something.
