Whether you're neurodivergent or supporting those who are, Different, Not Less will inspire you to create a more inclusive world where everyone feels like they belong. )As you would expect, the book is written very sympathetically. I found Chapter 3 particularly enlightening.

Her struggles to 'fit in' during formal education were heart-breaking to read, thank goodness she found a way through, She is honest, open, proud and unapologetic for being different. This is Chloe Hayden’s story about how she found life growing up being different. I wanted to highlight chunks of text to remind myself of the powerful messages Chloe has for us all.

I think this is the most important lesson – accept, don’t change. She was eventually diagnosed with autism and ADHD, but before then, she wasn’t quite sure what was going on and tried to find where, and how, she could fit in. I especially liked that the focus of each chapter was accepting who you are, being who you are meant to be and loving yourself for your individual qualities and not feeling like you have to conform or fit in a box. I'm so thankful for this book, thank you for giving me hope and self love.

Chloe explains how homeschooling was the right decision for her. Thank you so much @randomthingstours @murdochbooks_uk for letting me read it, its going to stay with me for a very long time! There’s also a really useful list for those who need to stim with ideas to help. 'My review: What.

I am a diagnosed level 2 autistic and disability activist and I love this book. Chloe talks about everyone's life being a 'happy-ever-after' story arc with struggles along the way, using Simba, Aladdin's Genie & Quasimodo as marvellous inspiring examples with a real sense of reassurance that difficult times will get easier. She is very clear that this is her owned lived experience & that everyone is different.
