Protip for anyone struggling with the fault light coming on, try attaching the clamp to the very top of the battery connection (see pictured). I would recommend this product if you want a trickle charger.

Personally I wouldn't trust it left out in the rain etc! Its also charged up a 6volt lead battery. Recommended from a you tube guy. Important to note that it is not a product that charges a flat battery, but one that maintains a health battery at the right level if the vehicle is only used occasionally.

If the battery is totally discharged and the battery charger is showing error light try to jump start your batter before charging. ) + the inline connector allows easy/quick removal when needed. This does the job really well and maintains the 12v battery at a healthy level so that I can start the car first time and no longer need to keep recharging a flat battery.
