The pack size is as expected for a three man lightweight multi-season tent - it’s not tiny and light but it’s not exactly heavy and bulky either, it can easily be carried when climbing mountains, which is what I intend to do with it, as a side note it’s roomy for 3, at a push I reckon you could get 4 people in here. I’ve had colder nights camping in summer in my other tent, this tent seems to lock in warmth really well. The double vestibules are great, we pitched one into the wind for storing gear and one out of the wind for access & cooking.
The geodesic shape gives it fantastic stability against the wind and any snow loading. I tested this tent out on Carnethy Hill in the Pentlands ( my local testing ground for new gear before I take it to some of Scotlands more challenging mountains) the day after storm Arwen (27th Nov 2021) when the wind was still gusting around 50 - 60 mph and it snowed Leading to evening temperatures of around -3C. This is more than suitable for 4 season use.
I’ve seen some fairly critical comments about this tent from people who clearly don’t own it, they just see the price and the season rating so assume it’s not up to the job, let me tell you it absolutely is! The added groundsheet for 1 vestibule is particularly useful for keeping gear dry.
