Operation: Apart from the well-resolved switches, I find the menu navigation very successful. After about 14 days of extensive testing, I would like to briefly describe my impressions of the PEN E-P2: Workmanship and feel: In contrast to the E-PL1, the E-P2 is extremely valuable. On the other hand, after a short period of getting used to it, everything is easy to control with the available switches. In poor lighting conditions, it can take a few attempts.
But judging the menu navigation as generally cumbersome or complicated does absolutely no justice to the camera! Until recently I was still impressed by the Nikon P7000 (see my review), but unfortunately I have to admit honestly in the meantime that I like the PEN better in almost all respects! (or buy the camera with the pancake above!
Such a swivel display would also be very practical. . 100% views are simply fun and don't spoil the image impression, as is unfortunately the case with most compact cars. 5.
Everything looks rock solid (the weight speaks for itself). Overall, the camera is really, really fun. are hidden under somewhat 'illogical' menus. But since I primarily shoot 'consciously' with the PEN and don't use it for quick snapshots, that's no problem for me.
7 pancake lens, you should also have this problem under control! But I actually expected the same from a much larger sensor.
By the way, images in 'Vivid' mode are still surprisingly natural. A higher light intensity for the set lens (if this is technically feasible). Press the OK button once and all really important settings (which cannot be accessed directly via other keys) are clearly listed on one page and can be quickly 'jumped' and changed using the function wheel. Less frequently required functions, such as the level of noise suppression, etc.
In this respect, you should consider buying a PEN. But I will definitely keep this camera and am already planning my next lens purchases! In any case, I had no problems with that.
