This thing is absolutely amazing! The pictures show three days of use. With the stench of hot garbage in the air, I seem to be attracting every fly in my neighborhood. It has even recuse the horse and deer flies though I haven’t officially seen a deer fly in the trap, I have seen a couple of horse flies.

If I was a crack dealer, I couldn’t get this many customers! I've seen the hanging strips and those are great for catching a dozen or so flies at a time.

Like others who have commented, the smell is a bit overwhelming, so you may want to hang it further away than I did (you can tell the proximity to the deck in my picture). At first I was disappointed because I was looking for something I could use in the house, but this actually ended up drawing the flies back outside. In the picture there is a black band toward the top of the water line that is 2 inches tall.
