I'm trying out some of the 10 time tactics for my different task at work and using the coach yourself questions at the end of each chapter to help me focus and get clarity on exactly what areas I want to improve. Having enjoyed their first book (The Squiggly Career) and being a regular listener of their Squiggly Careers podcast I was so excited to receive my copy of You Coach You… and I’ve loved it so much, I’ve already gifted lots of copies to friends and family who’ve mentioned they are feeling a bit stuck in their careers.

The visuals and quotes throughout break up the text and help bring the ideas for action to life (I sometimes struggle with attention when reading and both of these help enormously). You Coach You, their second book, is a brilliant companion to this as I feel that it provides me, in my new situation, with the tools to reflect, get unstuck, and remain resilient. I ordered the power duo’s first book The Squiggly Career back in mid-2020 post-lockdown at a time of my life where, like most, I felt uninspired. Their writing is so accessible and focussed on action: it’s a great resource that I know I will be referring back to.

This is less of a front to back book but more of a pick it up, dip into the section you need and get some great practical tips you can put straight into practice. Helen and Sarah have done it again! A little burnt-out and a lot overwhelmed. Such a great support tool and confidence builder.
