All in all, the device has impressed me, these minor complaints aside. This is exactly what the doctor ordered for my ancient Aiwa stereo sound system. Pairing is super easy and I haven't had a single issue since. I found myself well especially for the build quality and the audio.

The AAC codec is the one used by Apple for iTunes and Apple Music so the audio signal is transmitted directly to the Anker a3341011 without resampling. I've now abandoned the tedious process of loading CDs in favour of beaming my collection of FLAC files right from my phone. Easy setup, might need the instructions for pairing (not intuitive). So you and your partner can both enjoy same sound together.
