There is also a reverse option but above all it is possible to sew with a free arm (useful for making trouser hems). The singer brand never disappoints. It's so beginner friendly and easy to use.

I was hesitating but in the end I opted for this one because I already had another one but it was so old after 11 years that I had to retire it. At first the machine failed, as it was second-hand, it had thread tied to the bobbin and it didn't sew, and once I removed that error, it started to work perfectly.
