With a USB power meter, I was able to verify that there was actually no power transfer. Now I can turn the printer on and off with Alexa.

Thank you. I bought this power blocker so that I could connect a Raspberry Pi to my 3D printer without a double power supply having a negative effect on the printer's mainboard. The smartphone is connected to the Raspberry Pi via USB tethering and via a Y adapter with 2x USB plug, I can use any power source to the red USB plug and the Raspberry Pi is relieved, as the smartphone absolutely needs a power supply to also transfer data via USB.

So the blocker seems to be working. With a Y USB cable, I can use any power source that is absolutely necessary to operate a smartphone as a network card. Quick delivery the next day.

Super. The printer stays off when I turn it off (otherwise the display and some of the software on the printer are still supplied with power) and various disconnections are a thing of the past. In short: Just what I was looking for. The adapter does exactly what it should, it blocks the power line!

That wasn't possible before because the mobile phone powered the printer's touchscreen and the printer. Only data is transferred to Raspberry Pi. Needed a power blocker to connect mi Ender 3 Printer to OctoPi this is a proper sulution. As is often described here, this adapter is often used in conjunction with 3D printers and, among other things, to relieve the Raspberry Pi so that the voltage does not break down.

Nice quality product. If you switch it in front of the blocker, it measures a current of 0 amps. I repeatedly had various errors with my 3D printer in connection with the Sonic Pad, read in forums that it should help here and it helps perfectly!
