I only have 2 settings, BUT the lights also turn completely off when not in use. The old halogen bulbs provided adequate lighting but produced a LOT OF HEAT. Lastly, since my puck lights are the older style, I no longer have three light settings (H, M, L).

I used these as replacements to the G8 halogen bulbs for my kitchen under cabinet lighting. I do have one small issue. !

With the number of hours we keep them on, they have more than paid for themselves in electricity by now. There's literally no downside. So began my hunt for LED lighting. I was able to trim the silicone on each side of pins to creat a taper to allow inserting into the socket.

If you are on the fence about replacing yours, jump off and get some of these you will not be disappointed. So much that in summer months here in North Carolina I felt they were defeating the purpose of my AC, yes they would product that much heat! The bulbs only get warm, not hot, even though they are touching the glass filter and back of the fixture.

I do like the old, warmer light, but these work better with the rest of the LED recessed lights, so I do like the color of the light. In the two occasions I just turned to “full brightness” until I was finished cooking.
