Definitely. If you want to get a kid to love reading, or if you just want to hear them laugh, you can’t go wrong by buying Charlie Changes into a Chicken.

It’s a great family read aloud—who doesn’t love an opportunity to put on a ridiculous French-pigeon accent? Rollercoaster of laughs, energetically written with some cheeky humorous moments and cute characters with big personalities. Author, Sam Copeland, has managed to tap into important issues kids face and, with a lightness of touch, show ways in which they can cope with them.

You bet. Remarkable. But when he’s anxious he does change into lots of other animals. This is a fabulous light-hearted fun entertaining book for kids (or for parents reading to their kids!

Inconvenient? So funny your child laughed so much they did a little bit of wee in their pyjama bottoms.
