I use the Meatstick 4 almost exclusively outside on the smoker and anything I can cook on the stovetop or the oven I find the Chef X is just the perfect size. They have many different types to choose from or you can simply hit Quick Start and set your target and alert temperatures. Over all I like the shorter probe.

In the app, it was easy to follow the temperature of the meat and also see curves of the temperature increase. It is very customizable with specific target internal or external temperature, alert temperature and alert sound. The app can be a little confusing at times, but after a few sessions I got the hang of it.

Overall, I love The Meatstick Chef X, it's a great addition to the thermometers I already have and it's a useful tool that constantly provides feedback on how my cook is going. This one is a lot smaller than the Meatstick 4X allowing it to fit in a smaller size of meat or poultry while keeping the same precision as the bigger model.
