Sturdy when built, but obviously care needs to be taken with this kind of item as to not accidentally chip/break etc but I think that's to be expected with the nature of the product. Also, if you are planning to give this as a gift order it now because you might end up receiving a broken one (o received 4 of them broken), just so you have enough time in case you also will receive it broken the first or 2nd time around. I had luck on my 3rd! !

Looks really wonderful. In addition, the cake stand is visibly crooked after assembly, probably due to the plastic panes between the plates and the supporting bars. It is a miracle though because there was no bubble wrap or other any real sense of packaging other than the box. Abd I don’t know what to do with it 🤷🏻♀️

Even though the stand is so pretty ,but the Big plate is a bit broken . And this was in the bottom of my box with other things on top of it. The middle tier is not completely level, but it's so pretty I don't even care. I needn't have worried as it arrived perfectly in tact, with all of the rubber and metal washers as described in the instructions too (what you'd expect from a V&A set really.

I love that they used the original artwork from the book. It is indeed beautiful I must say, I am just worried that the china is so fragile it won't last very long.
